Flexible Compliance Services

We offer a flexible range of options, working in operational or advisory capacities, enabling you to select some or all of the following core compliance activities. For small businesses our packages start from as little as £500 per month. Each of our packages comes with a service level agreement clearly setting out the high standards you can expect.

a) Drafting Compliance Documentation.

We can help with drafting, particularly production of your company’s Compliance Manual and, where necessary, re-drafting of your standard documentation including client agreements and terms of business. This can be particularly helpful for businesses that have failed to update procedures since N2. We can also help to produce the Annual Compliance Plan. Incorporating a risk-based audit programme using the FSC methodology is recommended as it enables you to use limited resources to target monitoring in the areas where potential fines and losses would be highest and thereby identify any poor practices earlier, mitigating losses.

b) Compliance Monitoring covering specific areas or the entire business

We have expertise in developing targeted monitoring programmes in each of the key specific areas to be covered by compliance monitoring including those listed below:

Money laundering and Know Your Client procedures
Complaints Handling
Conduct of Business
Policing Market Abuse and Conflicts of Interest
Financial Promotions
Training and Competence
Approved Persons and Internal Controls (SYSC)
Reporting and Notifications
Record Keeping

The full compliance monitoring review, if required, takes the form of a detailed analysis of your businesses processes, controls and documentation to establish what's working well, what isn't, and what your operation's potential for improvement is from a compliance and risk management perspective. Based on our findings, and our knowledge of industry best practice, we can then work with you to develop a cost effective improvement programme designed to support your team in achieving the identified potential.

c) Compliance Training.

We have extensive experience of putting together effective and stimulating training presentations on areas of the FSA rulebook. Our training can cover specific areas or the entire rulebook. The latter is particularly popular for induction courses aimed at embedding a compliance culture throughout the organization. Training we have delivered to client staff (including money laundering training) has been particularly well received by client staff.
We can also help to prepare induction documentation for you to provide to new recruits.

d) Advice on Compliance Issues.

e) FSA Returns.

f) Advice on FSA Correspondence.

g) Restructuring Compliance Procedures.

The objective is to develop cost-effective solutions which blend compliance into your processes and with your business model rather than being a barrier to effective functioning of your business or an obstacle to the take-on of new business.
Wherever practical, we recommend automated compliance solutions and provide advice on their implementation.

h) Disciplinary Representation

i) Preparing for an FSA monitoring visit

Our comprehensive package covers all of the above and also an annual audit with detailed recommendations.
